Obituary
Rev. Ms. Usha Rani Subburam, who was a member of the faculty in the Department of Christian Ministry in Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai, died yesterday evening. She was an ordained minister in the Church of South India (Vellore Diocese-honourary ordination) and a member of the Tamil Methodist Church, Vepery. She was a chronic diabetic and under dialysis for some years. She was a committed and effective teacher who had been in charge of preaching and communication for B. D. students. Before joining Gurukul she worked with FMPB for several years. She is survived by her husband Mr. Subburam and daughter. The funeral will be held at the Kilpauk Cemetery at 5 pm today (05.08.08). We express our heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and thank God for her beautiful Christian witness in Gurukul and in the City of Chennai.
